34 Week Appointment

Today was my 34 week appointment and everything is still going really well. Connor's heart rate was still good and my blood pressure was great. We talked about my feet and legs bothering me so much and the swelling that I now have. The Dr. told me to stay off of my feet as much as possible and keep them elevated. That is really hard for me to do b/c I don't like to sit still, but I guess I'll start trying a little more. I go to the Dr. every week now and next week he will start checking for progress =). The end is in sight!!

On a different note, I had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I really enjoyed getting to go home one last time before Connor arrives. We did get up and go shopping on Black Friday and I was SO EXHAUSTED, but I just had to go, I go every year.

Sleepless Nights

Well it has now been at least 5 nights since I have had a decent nights sleep. You would think that after the first two, I would sleep soundly from pure exhaustion but nope, not me. I continue to toss and turn and wiggle and get up and just can't get comfortable. I don't take any naps during the day because I'm afraid if I sleep during the day, I really won't sleep at night. So I just fight it all day and hope that when bedtime rolls around I'll drift off to sleepy land. I am absolutely beyond exhausted and tired and sleepy! My legs hurt, my back hurts, basically everything hurts now. I still can't complain much because I made it 8 months without a lot of difficulty, so for that I am thankful.

28 Weeks

I had my 28-week appointment this morning and all is well. My blood sugar, blood pressure and all those other important stats continue to look normal, also, so no worries there. And Baby Connor is moving and squirming just like he should :) We talked about contractions, kick counts, and pediatricians at the appointment this morning too. I go every 2 weeks now, and I get to have my 4d ultrasound done within the next 2 weeks!

I am still feeling really great for the most part. I can tell my energy level is slowly declining and I wake up every 2 hours (almost to the minute) at night, but I still manage to go back to sleep ok most nights. I really don't have any complaints.

My big green lounger/rocker finally came in and I love it! It takes up a lot of room though. My hutch should be in within the next 2 weeks and my 5 drawer chest still won't be in until about another month. I'm ready for everything to be here so I can finish organizing and re-arranging Connor's nursery.

Doctor Update

Well I went back to the doctor last Thursday and had my gestational diabetes test and I passed! YAY for me! The doctor said everything looked great with me and baby Connor. His heart only skipped once in the whole 20 minute ultrasound, so the doctor said its correcting itself and he's not really worried about that anymore. I told the doctor about my work elevator being out and me walking up 6 flights of stairs to work everyday, and he just didn't like that at all. I figured he would ask me how I was doing and how much longer I thought I could do it, but no he never did. He just said that he did not approve of that. So, long story short, now I'm working from home instead of the office until the elevator gets fixed or we move offices. So, 8-5 I'm at my house at my computer with no company (I miss you Andrea and Katie and Julie Ana)!!! But I'm making the best of it. The first day was really hard, I was crying before Clay even got home from work, but the rest of the week has been much better! Here's to staying positive!
