We Have A Tooth

We finally have a tooth popping out...finally! Connor will be 11 months tomorrow. He is so active and into everything. This past weekend we did his smash cake session (pictures to come soon) for his first birthday. It was so much fun! I thought he would really play with the cake, but instead all he wanted to do was eat it. He just couldn't get enough of it and when I took the cake away from him at the end, he was not happy! We got some great pictures! He still sleeps all night and eats anything we feed him. He's a pro at crawling, but not very interested in trying to walk. His birthday party is coming soon, we are having it early because of the holidays. Connor will now give kisses (he opens up his mouth and leans in to you) and it is the sweetest thing ever! He now says "uh oh" but still no sign on "mama" or anything sounding remotely close to it.

We went on a little family vacation with my parents and brother for several days to Pigeon Forge. We rented a beautiful 3 story/3 bedroom cabin (which I picked out). I was a little worried that Connor wouldn't do well on the car trip there since he hadn't been in a car that long before, but he was an angel! He didn't give us any problem at all! Our car looked like we were taking everything we owned, but you never know what you'll need on a vacation so I had to take a LOT of stuff. The first day we got there we picked out what rooms we wanted and got settled in and went to dinner. The next day was the shopping day...outlets and stores all around. One of my favorites was a Christmas store ( we spent a while in there). The next day Clay and I went hiking at Cades Cove. We saw amazing scenery!  We saw several deer and a couple of turkeys and saw a cub on the way. We went to Dixie Stampede that night for dinner. Our last full day, we went for breakfast and then to Gatlinburg to walk around. Clay and Alan rode the zip line and said they had a great time! We all had a lot of fun and it was nice getting to spend some time together. We played cards at night and watched a movie one night and just had an all around good time.  Oh and the cabin had the most relaxing hot tub that we got in probably every night! I think that was Alan's favorite thing about the cabin! It would definitely be somewhere I would want to go back.
