First Kicks

I finally felt baby Connor moving around inside my belly! It was an AMAZING feeling and it felt just like what I had read and what everybody told me it would feel like. It was like a little bug crawling around, well more like a little butterfly flying around inside my tummy. Clay and I were driving to Killen just singing to the radio in the car (he must like my singing) and then all of a sudden I felt something, and then again, and again and I just knew that was him. I can't describe how wonderful it was!

20 Week Doctor Appointment

Yesterday I went back to the doctor for my 20 week ultrasound to check and make sure all the organs and bones and basically everything was forming correctly. We got to see his little spine, brain, nose, hands, feet, stomach, and lots of other little parts of him. Everything looks great so far, he's developing just as he should. He was sleeping again during the ultrasound. He's not a very active baby at all yet. The only concern (well not really a concern) was he had a little heart arrhythmic. The doctor said it wasn't the kind for me to be concerned with or that I would ever have to take medication to help correct it. He said its pretty normal and it will probably last up until little Connor gets here and possibly a few days after birth. My mom and Clay's mom went with us to the doctor. My next visit they will do the sugar test on me and I'll have to stay there for like 2 hours! I'm just ready for Connor to start waking up and moving around more so that I could feel him. The doctor said he would only be concerned if I haven't felt him move by the next visit. All and all, Connor is right on track!!

Restless Nights

Well its been 4 nights since I've had a decent night sleep! All of a sudden I have these horrible leg problems. I've self diagnosed it as restless leg syndrome where they just feel like I need to shake them or wiggle them or move them somehow. I have also just started waking up with leg cramps that hurt sooooo bad! I don't know why it has just now started, but its already getting old, I NEED MY SLEEP!! I'm definitely going to talk to the doctor about it on Thursday.

On a more positive note, I'm halfway there! 20 weeks that is! It's all going by so fast. We got everything moved out of the guest bedroom, the walls are painted and the baby bedding is in. I'm just waiting on the baby furniture to come in now. I'll post pictures of the baby bedding hopefully sometime this week. Its really cute, Connor is going to love his nursery!!

New Shoes

First Start Of The Nursery

The nursery is officially underway! This past weekend we got the bed moved out of the guest bedroom and we installed a dimmer switch on the light. This coming weekend we hope to get the dresser, nightstands and chest moved out so we can begin the painting process. We have picked out our paint colors, 3 walls will be blue and 1 wall will be green. I know that might sound a little weird, but trust me its going to look very nice. I'm still waiting to feel baby Connor kick it should be any day now! We have definitely decided on the name Connor, but we are still working on the middle name. I'm still feeling really good, just my legs and feet have started really bothering me. Next week I go for the 20 week ultrasound to make sure everything has developed like its supposed to (everyone keep praying for a healthy baby).

Baby Names

We are having a more difficult time coming up with a name. We were set if it was a girl with Caleigh, but we just haven't decided for sure on boy names. Here's a few of the possibilities:

Connor Ashton
Connor Gregory
Connor Blake
Connor Lee


We also like Carson, Riley, Ashton, and of course if it was completely up to Clay, Clayton Maxwell Trimm, Jr. (but that's already out of the question)!

High Chair, Car Seat, Stroller, Diaper Bag & Pack N Play

We finally found it .... exclusively at Babies R Us. Kinda expensive, but this is what we have chosen. Now the process of buying.....or hoping to get it as a gift!! Wish I could register for Babies R Us but the closest one is in Birmingham. I'll keep my fingers crossed that something works out!

Baby Trimm's First Outfits

Well this weekend I finally bought my baby boy some clothes! I bought a real cute outfit that has lions on it and it came with pants, a onesie and a little jacket. Its so cute. I bought 0-3 b/c thats for 8-12 pound babies and I figure he will be at least an 8 pound baby. Then my mom bought a cute outfit from The Babys Room in Florence but she's keeping it at home for now. My dad also contributed in on the spending buying him his first Alabama outfit, bib, and pacifier (its so cute). I also went to JC Pennys and they were having a huge sale and lots of things were on sale really cheap, so I bought several different size outfits for really good prices. It felt so nice for me to finally buy something baby. I havent up until this point b/c I wanted to wait and see if it was a boy or girl. Also this weekend, we ordered the crib bedding. Its Kidsline and called "Big Rigs" its cars and trucks mainly. Its really cute and it will take about 4-6 weeks to come in and then we will be able to start painting when we can match some colors with the bedding! So exciting!!
