Connor got in the swimming pool for the first time this weekend and he loved it! He did so good staying outside all day with everyone. I was worried that he would get fussy with everyone around wanting to hold him and was afraid he wouldn't take his naps, but he did. He really enjoyed the water, he kicked and kicked and he finally figured out how to splash with his hands. Clay and I really enjoyed taking turns playing with him in the pool.

6 Months
It's hard to believe that my little man in already 6 months old! He is growing and changing everyday. He is 15 pounds and 27 inches long. We had to buy him 9 month size pajamas because he is getting so long, but he's still in 6 month (and still some 3-6 month) sizes for most everything else. He loves to babble and make all kinds of noises. We have tried him on a few baby foods to see what he seems to like/dislike. So far, we have discovered that he really likes apples and bananas and he doesn't care for peaches and sweet potatoes. He LOVES bath time, its like he just discovered that he can kick in the water and it splashes! I really enjoy watching him play in his bathtub. He's also recently really started to use his hands, he will try to grab and pick up anything he sees (and then he tries to put it in his mouth). I've still haven't seen any teeth popping through yet, but I know they are on the way.

5 Month Update
Connor now weighs 14.4 pounds! I knew he was getting heavy because it is so hard for me to carry him in his carrier anymore. It takes all my strength to lift him and take him anywhere in that. It will be much easier when he can completely be able to hold his head up on his own and we can just carry him without the carrier. We’ve been pretty lucky so far with no colds, stomach bugs, or ear infections and with warm weather now, hopefully we can avoid all of the above. Connor really likes to grab a hold of things now. He reaches out for things he wants and has a tight little grip when he gets it. He smiles all the time. His hair is slowly starting to grow and yes it is still reddish. He sleeps great at night and is so easy to put down. He goes to bed around 8:30 and sleeps until 6:00 or 6:30 the next morning. He hardly ever cries, and if he does it is usually because he is hungry or sleepy. All around he is a very happy baby! He sucks his thumb a whole lot, but still doesn’t take a paci. He takes about 5-5 ½ ounces of formula every 3 hours or so and he loves to play. One of his favorite things is to lie on a pallet on the floor and play. He tries to catch his feet and put them in his mouth. He loves toys that light up and play music. It’s amazing to watch him study a new object or toy; his face gets this look of wonder and he raises an eyebrow and then wants to touch it and put it in his mouth. It’s really cute. He wants to put everything in his mouth and he is a drooling machine! He is still in size 1 diapers, but he will go to size 2 very soon. He is also in size 3-6 month clothes, but the majority he wears is 3 months because he has no waist. We are truly blessed to have such a healthy and handsome baby boy!
